Save to your city mapThe Hofburg is the former palace of the Habsburg royal family. It was used for more than 600 years as a winter residence, with summers spent at the Schloss Schönbrunn. A small section of the palace is used today as the residence of the Austrian president while the rest is used as museum space. The museum is divided into the Sisi Museum, the Silver Room, and the Imperial Rooms, allowing visitors to discover the world of the Habsburgs as well as the history behind their rule.
