Make the climb up to the imposing castle and experience spectacular views over the city, as well as the impressive architecture and construction of the castle itself. A UNESCO world heritage site, the castle is made up of various styles from the Roman style buildings of the 10th century through to gothic modifications. There is a changing of the guards ceremony everyday at 12 in the first courtyard. Historical monuments and exhibitions halls (except for the towers), as well as the extensive grounds, are free of charge.
