Its long and rich history dates back to 1836, when it first opened as the Lion Theatre. Today, the art-deco Paramount Theatre is owned by the Emerson College, who renovated the venue in 2008. The Paramount Center features a large main theater, the 150-seat Jackie Liebergott Black Box Theatre, and the 170-seat Bright Family Screening Room.
