Save to your city mapLocated on the Montjuïc mountain, the stadium was built in 1927 for the International Exposition of 1929 and renovated for the Olympic Games of 1992. Officially called the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys, the stadium was used as a home ground for football club RCD Espanyol between 1997 and 2009. With a seating capacity of 55,926, it is now also used for other large sporting events such as the World Bowl V, and the World Police and Fire Games. It has also been used for hosting concerts including those of AC/DC, Madonna, Coldplay, and more recently Bruce Springsteen.
