Save to your city mapThe Van Gogh Museum is the world's leading museum dedicated to Vincent van Gogh, the Dutch post-impressionist painter. With the largest collection of paintings, drawings, and letters from the artist, it is Holland's most visited museum. Displaying Van Gogh pieces such as the 'Sunflowers' and 'The Potato Eaters', the museum also exhibits a unique collection of other 19th-century art. The main building has been open since 1973, and a fantastic new ' Exhibition Wing' was opened in 1999. The museum was recently re-opened after further extensive repairs and renovation. It can be found on the Museum Square, south of the city center in Amsterdam.
