Save to your city mapThe Allard Pierson Museum in Amsterdam is an archaeological museum named after the first professor of Classical Archaeology at the University of Amsterdam. The museum was officially opened in 1931, at that time only an attic was needed. Eventually, in 1976, the museum moved to its current location. It has an extensive collection of items from excavations in Egypt, the Roman empire and ancient Greece.
